Dental Implants
If you are missing one or more teeth, you’ll want replacements that are as natural as possible. If dentures don’t work for you, you may consider dental implants. Unlike dentures, which can be removed, implants are permanently anchored into the jaw itself.
Usually Dr. Mehr feels you are a good candidate for implants if you have jawbone ridges that are in good shape and healthy oral tissues. When the implant device is inserted into the jaw, a chemical and mechanical bond is formed. The jawbone actually grows into the implant.
With implants, Dr. Mehr can get you a perfect fit, and they will look and feel as good as (or better than!) your original teeth.

Dr. Mehr can use ultra-thin porcelain veneers to correct chipped, weakened, or discolored teeth. No more yellow. No more gaps or embarrassing chips. And Dr. Mehr’s veneers can return real structural integrity to damaged teeth, while leaving them looking as good (or possibly better) than the originals.
Those weaknesses consist of cracking teeth due to expansion of the material, and restorations turning black as the silver in the material corrodes.
The procedure is not painful as you may have heard. At Beverly Hills Center For Cosmetic & Laser Dentistry we will numb the tooth so you won’t feel any pain, and there is little discomfort afterwards. Extracting the tooth would be less healthy and more expensive.
Dr. Mehr may recommend a bridge be utilized to replace one or more teeth. These restorations are cemented onto the teeth and are referred to as “fixed” dentistry as opposed to a restoration of missing teeth with a removable appliance or partial denture.
